C'était par un bel après-midi d'Octobre 1457, le ciel était encore très bleu pour ce joli début d'automne. Kro, qui supportait assez mal les trajets en bateau, arrivait d'un pas fébrile aux abords de l'abbaye.
Comme il parlait assez piètrement l'Anglais, il espérait que ses interlocuteurs comprendraient son langage. Mais les alentours déserts de l'abbaye n'étaient pas pour le rassurer.
Il frappa à la porte du portier.
